Work with the experienced lawyer you hired

At Our Firm

Guidance comes directly from the experienced lawyer you hired — not some inexperienced associate or other middle guy like at a big law firm. Your phone calls will be answered and returned by the attorney and not a secretary. You can pick up the phone and ask us questions, and you’ll always know the status of your case. If we miss your call, we’ll return it promptly, often later the same day.

Our founding attorney, Roxane Kaye, has been practicing law since 2002. She is admitted to practice law in Michigan state courts and before the Federal Bankruptcy Court of Eastern Michigan, Southern Division, as well as the Federal District Court of the Eastern District of Michigan.

Roxane Kaye

Roxane Kaye

She used to be a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA). Currently, she is a proud member of the Consumer Bankruptcy Association. She continues to be active in the legal community, including the Law Day Committee (a high school law education program). She also organized Lunch & Learn talks for the Genesee County Bar Association Bankruptcy Committee.

The series covered essential topics such as student loan discharges and changes in bankruptcy rules. She is the current Board Director of the association. Roxane has earned several recognitions in the past few years. She was one of the top 10 Best Attorneys for Exceptional and Outstanding Client Service in Michigan in 2017. Recently, she was cited by Legal Services of Eastern Michigan as the Pro-Bono Attorney of the Year 2018. These are testaments that Roxane is respected as an ethical attorney who follows the highest professional standards. Before founding her firm, Roxane worked for United Automobile Workers (UAW).

She offers discounts for UAW members, as well as senior discounts for the elderly. She is an active member of the community who also happens to be a skilled lawyer. When you come to our firm or talk with Roxane over the phone, she will do her best to put you at ease. You will not encounter a lawyer who stares at you across from a large desk in a fancy office building. Instead, you’ll find someone whom you can talk with comfortably about the issues that affect you.
